The RP 926 regenerator is a SHDSL device at 4 wires that allows to increase the maximum distance between the exchange and the user (the length of the section between LTU and NTU); in this way it is possible to guarantee the available of the SHDSL service, also for the subscribers who are located outside the maximum range of the data transmission system.
In a SHDSL connection with the RP 926 regenerator, can be used up to 4 regenerators.
The length of the regeneration step (maximum distance between one terminal and one regenerator or between two regenerators) is determined by the transmission speed on the link, by the diameter of the two wire or by the number of the objects in line to remote power.
The SHDSL regenerator is available in two types:
– RP 926 made by one printed circuit board, which is contained, in plastic housing and it can be inserted in a pre-existing structure.
– RP 926S has been designed to be inserted in one of the pre-cabled plates CN 929.2 or CN 929.5, supplied by Teleco.
