The network termination is a device that furnishes the base standard access to the terminals with S ISDN interface.

The network termination is a device that furnishes the base standard access to the terminals with S ISDN interface.

The network terminations NTA, NT1 and NT1 PLUS finish the ISDN circuit and make it available to the user, allowing the remote diagnosis of the whole connection in according to the in force Normatives (ETSI – CCITT).

The terminations are available both in versions with code 2B1Q and with 4B3T.

The network terminations can be directly connected:

– To the local exchange with U interface.

– To remote devices with U interface.

– To device of scattered subscriber collection with U interface.

The termination NTA implements the following functionalities:

– Conversion from interface U (2 wires) (2B1Q or 4B3T) to interface S (4 wires).

– Conversion of power supply from exchange.

The additional function of the termination NT1 is:

– Power supply of the normal S 4 W interface through local power supply 220 Vac.

The additional functions implemented by NT1 PLUS are:

– Two standard telephony analogue interfaces.
