The SC 689 device has been designed to be used as switch unit for XLD devices (V2.1 and V3.0).

The function of this device is to switch one stream at 34 Mbit/s, that is wired on coax connector 1.6/5.6 75 ohm.

The units to which the SC 689 is connected are CLU_7 (working on connector named W) e CLU_8 (backup on connector named P), the switch command comes from CLU_IMA backup unit (CLU_8), the stream that has to be protected is wiredto the connector named with the letter L.

The SC 689 device is in conformity with the Normative EN 60950.

The mechanical characteristics of the SC 689 are:

– Case sizes: 185 x 45 x 50 mm.

– Material: Anodised aluminium.

– Connectors device side: 4 ISO4902 female connectors.

– Connectors 2 Mbit/s line side: 6 COAX 1.6/5.6 75 ohm female connectors.

– Ground point: Faston on the front side.
