The TD 604T is a desktop device for the termination of numerical streams E1, that allows, with low costs, the connection of the local networks (LAN, routers, …) to the public network.

The TD 604T modem is designed for the activation of the procedures of the line test (ITU-T V.54) and of diagnostic of the inside electric circuits.

In case of connection to flexible multiplex (MUX-F), the TD 604T behaves as the last regenerator of line, this functionality allows the correct diagnosis of the line in case of remote control from the Manager of the network.

The TD 604T device satisfies two power supply typologies: in remote is powered by exchange, while in local is powered by electric network (with plug-in transformer).

The design of the TD 604T modem is in according to the Technical Specification of TELECOM ITALIA n° 1368.

The modem has 3 interfaces for the data transmission:

– One interface at 2 Mbit/s G. 703 network side.

– One interface at 2 Mbit/s G. 703 user side.

– One interface X/V (V.36 / V.35 / V.11) user side.
